Tranny slipping-added fluid-now won't start

Thanks. I'm up to just under 7 quarts and don't see it on the stick yet. If I can get the van turned around today (still no reverse but drive seems OK) I'll drive around a little to get it good and warmed up and check it again before adding any more. One problem is without it going into reverse it is hard to find Neutral. Is Park OK to check fluid level?

I would make sure it's showing on the dipstick before starting it. The fluid will not expand all that much.

I would add 1/2 a quart at a time until it starts showing on the dipstick.
