Hi, maybe someone here can help :)
Our B250 had its Trans rebuild about 11k ago..... yesterday we had the Torque Converter replaced, Filter and Fluids changed. Ran it for about 50 miles and now there is a whining noise...... never done that before. Does it in all Gears exept Park and Neutral
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

Was this an Aamco rebuild? Was the torque converter replaced because of torque converter clutch chatter at 47 to 60MPH under light accelleration?
What year Van?
Even a transmission shop that should know better, uses their bulk universal fluid in their rebuilt Dodge transmissions.
Dodges with overdrive are extremely finicky about their ATF. basically only ATF+4 is acceptable in theser transmissions. not a universal fluid with a friction modifier added. No matter how vehemently the installer maintains it is just as good, it is not.
ATF+4 is synthetic, and a very good fluid. An additive in a universal fluid can never ever equal ATF+4 characteristics or performance.
Best of luck with this.
