Default 1988 RAM 250 318/Auto Water Pump R&R Questions?

Hi all, I have a front of engine coolant leak (Bypass Hose, Water Pump, Freeze Plug, likely one of those as all other stuff looks good as far as I can tell pressurizing the system and checking via flashlight and mirror, no water in oil etc)?

My problem is that I'm garage challenged as I have a two story house with a 8' garage ceiling and water pipes overhead, so I can't jack up the Van in the garage. I live in the hills with a steep driveway so it's the garage or nothing for a work area. A few questions...

a) Can the Radiator come out the top with the hood removed (the Factory Service Manual says it comes out the bottom)?

b) Can the Radiator come out the bottom without jacking up the Van (I only have about 1" clearance between the top of the van and the house's water pipes)?

c) Is there some sort of water passage in the Timing Cover on these 318's that I need to be aware of (sorry, Mopar noob)?

TIA..

New Question?

Can the fan and water pump be removed with the radiator in place on this van that has AC?

Thanks...

Maybe but it would be ridiculous tight space and you may damage the radiator.
IMHO remove your radiator.

You can unbolt the fan and lift it up and out along with the 1-piece shroud at the same time. If you have a 2-piece shroud then remove the top half, then the fan. You do not need to remove the bottom half of the shroud. In either case the radiator does not have to come out.
