Default ECU locations

Hello, I've been fixing a Dodge Ram 1500 Van 5.9lt Year 2000. The engine sometimes doesn't start and the odo meter says "No_Bus".
It seems that this is a common problem.
Could please someone tell me where the Central Timer Module is Located ?

It's built into the computer and the no bus message means a loss of communication between the computer and the digital instrument cluster.

Where is the computer located ?
I disconnected the instrument cluster but no change.
The engine sometimes starts and sometimes no.
I'm from Switzerland and this Ram Van models aren't officially sold here. So it's hard
to get repair information and wiring diagrams.
Could please someone help me ?

Open the hood and it is straight in front of you on the firewall above the engine. It has 3 large electrical connectors going into it.

possibly the computer just has bad connections I have used a spray called Deoxit 5% to clean the numerous connections to the computer... cleans and keeps protected

google Deoxit 5% and use it on the wiring harness to the computer

It is mounted to the firewall immediately under the fresh air intake and has three large multipin connectors. Please be certain to disconnect the battery before you unplug the connectors else you will definitely damage your PCM. This thread may help. Pay particular attention to Landyacht318 : his posts and pictures are absolutely the best information on this subject found in this forum despite the fact that his ECM is not identical to yours. All information and recommendations are essentially the same.
