1996 B3500 with 281K miles on it.
i swapped a 2000 dodge grand caravan sport even trade for this van.
it is an extended cargo model.
it has the 4000# front end which makes it a little tougher to get parts.
i found only 2 brand name shocks that work front and rear that i can buy for it.
i don't get what rear shocks have to do with the front end except maybe the vans with the 4K front end have a heavier duty rear suspension.
the rear is lower than the front even if the van is empty.
adding weight makes no difference in the height.
the springs are recent new OEM with no sagging at all.
the rear shackles aim up towards the floor not down towards the ground and one reason i can see is if i did bring them down somehow the rear would be very high compared to the front.
also the fuel filler neck would be in the way of one of them.
it has a 5.9, 3:90 rear end gears and a heavy duty 4 speed transmission.
it has very quick takeoff without needing a lot of throttle.
i was able to outrun a ford E350 with ease lol
it does need work that can wait until spring.
needs shocks and front brake work, idler arms and an alignment.
i replaced all of the tie rods and adjusting sleeves.
only other stuff is regular maintenance.
i have a youtube channel.
