Default Data link connector failure

MY 2001 3500 Van check engine light is on. The diagnostic tool says data link connector failure. Had it checked out and was told to check the fuse to it. Pulled all 20 and all are good. Any ideas? Thanks

I read a post by Master Tech says to use a Diagnostic Junction Port Tester #8339 . Do you know where I can get one and how much they are?

The data link connector power shares the same fuse as the 12v lighter plug on the dash. So if the lighter plug is dead then you need to try a different fuse.

You need to verify whether its a faulty tester or no power to the port first.

I see a lot of them with spread terminals, especially from the substandard and abused govt testing center equipment.
