Hello, new owner
Hello, Posting for my brother-in-law but...
He just bought a 2000 Dodge 1500 Cargo Van.
He's planning to use it for contruction/contracting jobs.
I have a set on BFG AT TKO 31-10.50-15s Will these fit? minor rubbing?
He wants two things:
Roof rack for ladders
Shelf system.
Any suggestions for a newbie?

RE: Hello, new owner, Gots some Qs.
I have two brands on my Dodge Ram Vans now.
Arizonan Silver Edition XL, P235/75R15 XL M+S, 108S (Discount-Tire Company)
http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/fin...&tc=KAZPAC
Kelly Navigator Gold, P235/75R15 M+S, 108S max load rating 2,183 @ 41
http://www.kellytires.com/kellytires...area=Passenger
I've seen BF Goodrich Commercial TA's All Season on a B1500 conversion van with 70k miles on it. They had a good deal of tread left on them. The size was P235/75R15/XL 108S, 1985@41. http://www.bfgoodrichtires.com/specs...season/45.html
Now, for a great tire by Dunlop that meets or exceeds the OEM Ram Van requirements is the Grandtrek AT20. The 235/75 SR15 SL 105S, 2088lbs@41psi with 12/32 deep tread for the 5-lug rims. The 245/75 SR16 SL 109S. 2271lbs@44psi with 12/32 tread depth for the 8-lug rims. The tread wear rating is high for them too. I'm not sure about the pricing though.
I do towing with both of these vans. The tires held up really well with about 5000lbs and a fully load 12-passenger Ram Van towing through the mountains for a week of fun last summer.
As for the 31-10.50-15s , you'll have to do the tire conversion on those numbers to see if they will fit. Tires that are LT (truck tires) and SUV tires marked XL in rating should both work well. The SUV XL tires have the stronger side walls like a LT truck tire, but ride very nice like a passenger tire. Many of the conversion van companies use these tires since it's the only strong rating without the truck feel and noise on the road. If your borther-in-law will be on a cell phone while driving, the LT tires will echo loudly into the van. So, I would go with the XL tires indeed.
Does this B1500 cargo van have a V6 or one of the V8's in it? The V6 will do the job well for him, It's a little shy on Hp, but the fuel savings is by far the greatest. He can also do the IAT modification to the van if it's the V6 for improved Hp and it makes the V6 a bit more peepy when pushing down of the pedal.
Also, he may need to clean the IAC since the vehicle is 7 years old. This will help with regaining back the Hp and the fuel economy as well. Check out this link with a step-by-step procedure using 56k dial-up friendly pictures for doing the easy job. https://dodgeforum.com/m_525409/tm.htm
