Angry 96 ram 1500 o/d problem

hey im new here and i have a 96 ram 1500 2wd and i have a tranny problem, everything is fine i just replaced the transmission and it wont shift into overdrive when the truck warms up, when its cold it works fine but when it gets hot (200 F degrees) it wont work, stays in 3rd gear, but then it sits for 4 hours and is cold as it can be it will work properly, its not the transmission fluid levels as i have checked it repeadetly, ??? any suggestions??? anybody had this happen to them? could it be the heat sensor on the transmission?, the filter? what????????
