I just traded my '01 1500 Off-Road Reg Cab Sport for an '04 1500 Reg Cab Sport Hemi (off road not available in sport this year). I had the dealer locate it for me so I didn't see it before I bought it. When it arrived, it had the 245/70/17 tires on it which made it look likea mini-truck (make sure you don't make the mistake I did and check all options - these are passenger tires). The dealer wouldn't trade for the 275/70/17's so I had to order the tires from an aftermarket dealer (cost me $700 - $225 option on sticker). I'm having the tortion bars adjusted so the truck sits level to get rid of that factory rake in the front end.</P>


I'm looking for the best way to make this truck look like the '01 off-road which had the factory lift in it. I already tried my MT 16" rims/33" MT tires from my '01 but the brakes are bigger and they don't fit. The shop I'm dealing with said I should have no problem putting17" MT rims and 33" MT tires under it when it's level. The parts for a 4 inch rancho liftare about $2400 plus labor. </P>


Has anyone else wanted to attempt this? I'm really dissapointed at how low the '04's sit. The hemi is awesome though. Have an airaid air intake and throttle body spacer, flowmaster dual exhaust on the way. I hope leveling the truck will satisfy me. I included pics of the '01.</P>

imo i like the lowered look of the new rams. i dont go offroad that often so my ram would be a lowrider. But it would have to have 20s on it.<edited><editID>Spyder</editID><editDate>37931.7463194444</editDate></edited>
