Default AC/Heater Blower Problems

I have a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 P/U with 5.2 Liter V8

I have recently developed a problemss with the heater/AC blower. Sometimes it runs. Sometimes not. It has a mind of it's own.

I changed the blower relay today. Helped some. I only just changes speed on it's own now. At least it's moving some air.

1) Does this vehicle have a blower resistor?
2) Where is it at and how do I access it to change?
3) If no resistor, is the problem the fan motor?

Thanks

Yes it has a blower resistoe. It is located under the right side of the dash near the blower moter. It has a blue, green and 2 brown wires, and is held in place with two 5/16 screws. Dodge has plenty of resistor problems... It is a good, and easy thing to try.

Hey my name is Curt too, lol. Anyway what is that resistor for? Did they use it as a fuse or to just limit current? I'm an electronic engineer, so I was just curious if thats what they did. I've seen some motor controller circuits that use 10 ohm resistors as fuses. Just curious and bored.
