Default 92 Stealth TCU Auto trans

Re: Earlier post

I spoke with Autocomputersupply and the gentleman was very helpful. The TCU failure rate is 100%. I'm aware that he is selling the service .
I'm new at this so today I disconnected my battery and cleaned the contact for my TCU and another controller not the ECU ooopps.
The advisor at Autocomputersupply told me if the TCU was damaged it would be visible he said, "leaky heads on the board".
So tomorrow I will pull the TCU and check the board for damage. I was unaware as a new owner that this was possible. The ECU seems fine no check engine lights, stalls, or rough idle so I'm hoping it's ok. I know for a fact there are a lot of folks buying tranny rebuilds for Mitsubishi cars and I'm sure other manufactures too. I can guarantee alot of people are unaware of the TCU limp mode, bring their car into the shop and get an overhall. I know this isn't new to everyone but it sure is to me. I was quoted 250 for a TCU rebuild I can get a salvage for 155 w/ shipping anybody have experience good or bad salvage/rebuild. My car exhibiting classic symptoms stuck in 3rd and has reverse. Orignally I thought I was in 2nd gear. If all this information is available within the forum I apologize I did attempt to figure things out via past posts.
