97 dodge stratus head rests are stuck

I am trying to lower the headrests so that I can put put seat covers over them. I have tried puching them down. I have even tried raisin g them up They do n ot even do that./` Can someone giove me some clues? ALOHA

are you making sure youve used the switch on the one post to lower it? even with that depressed mine are still tight
