Default Accessory signal not received by radio

Hello all,

I have a 2001 Stratus Coupe, and I have recently diagnosed a problem with my radio not turning on when I turn on the accessories (or the ignition, for that matter). The radio should be getting this signal through pin 6 in the grey connector (I have the two 7-pin connector head unit). When I turn the key, there is no signal on this pin. I am sure this is why my radio isn't working, because when I apply 12 volts to the corresponding pin in the head unit, the radio works perfectly.

I am wondering if this is cause by a fuse that burned out, or a relay that quit working. I located the fuse for the radio in the fuse box by the battery (the driver compartment fuse box does not have a fuse for the radio, perhaps because that was intended for the Inifity system). It seems like all the other accessories (headlights, air conditioning) operate when the key is in the accessory position, but this pin on the radio is not getting a signal, so it never tells the radio to turn on.

Is there anything else that could cause the signal from the ignition switch to be blocked in coming to the radio?

Thank you,

Taylor

Default RE: Accessory signal not received by radio

Turns out it was the fuse after all. I checked continuity (negative), and replaced the fuse, and everything works now.
