Default 95 Stratus PCM/ASD and Battery Hook up Wrong

95 Stratus 2.0 SOHC 5-Speed manual. Problem : The battery was replaced and the wrong connections were made. (How bad its that.) The PCM/ASD 20a fuse was blown. I replaced it ... hooked up the battery Correct this time and the fuse blew again. The ASD relay and starter relay both look fine. The PCM did not show any obvious shorts when I took it apart, but I'm guessing that is the problem.. I also left the PCM plugged in and removed the wires to the alternator and starter, but the PCM/ASD fuse blew again. If the PCM is bad, does it have to be personalized for the VIN number? I was thinking of looking for one at the salvage yard in the same 95 configuration as I have.. Will that work? Lastly, should I look for other shorts or damage to other components before I shell out $$$ to fix the PCM to see it blow again? Thanks for your assistance. What a costly error...I know..
