My brother being the great "car" mechanic he is. He checked my brake fluid one day cause I said that my brakes were acting funny. He noticed that my master cylinder gasket inside the cap was "backwards". He reversed it to make it "right" and the cap wouldn't fit on so like any "good mechanic" he forces it on there until it fit. Well in the end he ripped my damn gasket in half. Sad part of the deal, I can't find a replacement ANYWHERE. I went to Autozone, I went to O'Reillys autoparts..... they all told me to go to the other guy, then said go to salvage yards. Everywhere I search there is nothing. All or nothing that is. I can find the whole master cylinder. Somewhere around $100 bucks. For a peice of rubber? Hell no. Can someone help me out. My breaks arn't bleeding and creating pressure in the line and it is dangerous for me to keep driving. I work night and have to drive 20 miles in the country to get home. I NEED BREAKS AND I NEED THEM NOW. HELP.
I have a 2000 Dodge Stratus SE 2.5L. V6 engine.
