Default Turbo KIt

I found this turbo kit for a 2001 stratus R/t, i was wondering if this thing was pretty much garbage or maybe worth it

that looks like a nice kit, but its hard to tell from a picture...

however, that will not fit a stratus RT. that kit is for a 420a...4 cylinder.

i have NEVER done a turbo install. IMHO the price is a rip off if that is all that comes with the kit. the only things that cannot be bought at other places might be the gaskets. the hoses (not cheap, it's the fittings) could be made at a race or brake shop. hardware can be found at a local supply shop (phone book, look under hardware, use high carbon steel). crush gaskets can be found at a home improvment store.

YES, one will spend more time looking for the parts, making sure the hardware is the right type/thread count, having the hoses built and sourcing the gaskets. BUT would you do it for $3-500? then find a turbo, exhaust header and pipes? just my 2 cents. happy motoring.
