I cant control the heat its always on hot??????

ok well all the fan speeds work fine and so does the modes but when i try and change the temperature it wont work. This is on a 2000 Stratus ES with the 2.5

if i turn the knob to cold it will go there but it will still blow hot air, And when i turn it to hot it feels like a spring or something and when i let go of the knob it goes right back in the middle. The temp doesnt change no matter what i put it on.

I was told that these are controlled by pullies or something but can anyone please help me out?

This may be a little off but I'd check your coolant, either you might need a new water pump, and or check the thermostat. Just a suggestion.

oh no. the car isnt over heating. I just cant adjust the temperature inside the car. It stays on hot no matter what. I dont really mind during the winter but sometimes i shill need air for defrost but i may be hot already and want cooler air
