the motor between a sedan and coupe 2.4 is completely different. the coupe runs the mitsubishi 4g64. and the sedan runs the chrysler motor. The 2.4 head from a SRT4 should bolt on to a chrysler 2.4 (dont qoute me). I know for a fact that the evo 8 head and the Kia optima from a 01 to 04 2.4 (LX edition) will bolt to the mitsu 4g64. I ahve seen this done and will be doing this myself.

The SRT-4 is a 420A motor, which is the same motor that the PT cruiser Turbo Charged edition has used. So I think I can agree with that the sedans, are running a completely different motor than the coupes. Guess you learn something new everyday. Try swapping the head from an SRT motor into yours, and let us know if it works.

If you have any questions, I can easily point you in the direction for head swaps on the coupes. I have just finished my turbo kit on my stratus, and now am looking for the parts to do the headswap. All I can say 292/292 cams here I come.
No Nate! The SRT-4 engine code is A853, not 420A, which is a 2.0 liter 4 cylinder used in 90's mitsubishis. The SOHC coupe motor is the 4G64, which is very similar to the 4G63T. The 2.4 DOHC in the sedans have no relation to the SOHC in coupes.

Yes you are right, I swear when I was reading the engine code for the SRT's was 420A thanks for the correction Dan. I'm sure you could supply a lot of usefull info here since you are actually a 2.4L.
