HELP - Red light goes on sometimes in dash/instrument console

Hi, I have a 2000 Dodge Stratus ES, 6-cylinder, 2.5 L (mileage = 110,000). Recently, I noticed that the red light on the far right side of the dash/instrument console goes on at times. It is usually very brief, staying on for what appears to be a couple of seconds, but nonetheless concerning. I’ve noticed it to happen when breaking to a stop. It is generally happening when the engine hasn’t been running very long, for example in the morning when the engine is still “cold�. Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening? Should I be concerned? Any recommendations? Very much appreciated!!! Pete

Which red light? The vehicle has several. However if I were to guess which one it would be.. I'd say Oil pressure low, particularly since I saw my Stratus bring that light up once in the freezing weather... this may not be it.. please clarify whihc light.. or just take a picture of your dash when your starting your car and post the pic....

My car does this too. It only does this when it gets cold outside. The security light will flash intermittently for a second or two. It has been doing this for almost four years. Does anyone have the owners manual which might say what else this light is for?
