Default my 2.4 dohc 98 stratus is not firing please help before i burn it to peices..

i have a 98 dodge strautus 2.4 dohc she cut off on me last week while driving, basically it just wont get fire to start, cranks well, turns, fuel is being recived, i dont know if it is a relay, ? please help, i need to go to work, i thought it was a bad coilpack, but replaced with no luck, but i have determined that the coilpack is recieving no power via voltage/ohm test with power on to vehicle, via electricalhub to coilpack....i need to backtrack threw theelectrical firing system or something.. im puzzled? ive tested wires plugs everything., i know it must fire once in a while becouse if you crank on it about 3 times it will back fire, threw the throttle body perhaps, basically a poping sound, every couple cranks, determined as a back fire... the only thing i havent check is the ASD relay, automatic shut down, which also controls fuel pump, and send signal to pcm and which sends signals to cylinders to fire, im sure you guys already know this.... but if the asd/ fuel pump regulator relay, is bad then the fuel pump would not pressurize upon turning ignition which it does... if the relay was bad could it still control the fuel pump and not the ASD?, the reason i am thinking that realy, is becouse i was on alldatapro looking at diag tips, and if you backtrac from the coil pack threw the electrical it would all come back to the pcm correct? ive tested the electrical it seems the system is geting 12 volts all around... im so bumed ... why didnt i jusy buy a honda...lol.. im just kidding , but if ne one has ne idea what im talking about please send any help my way thanks....

Any update on this?I am having the same issues with the same 2.4 DOHC. I thought it had no power to coil pack until i checked it while the engine was turning over. I guess it doesn't get voltage until ignition. I put a screw driver in one spark plug wire and set it on the manifold so i could see an arc if spark was happening. I would get spark sometimes usualy when I stopped cranking it and I would also get backfire like you explained... Your post is from 2/16, is yours fixed yet? Thanks Tory
