Default Replacing 3.5" speakers on dashboard

Hey Guys:

I have a 2004 Stratus Sedan and I am trying to replace my 3.5" speakers in the dash. The problem is that I can't access them from the top seeing that the grille is part of the dash. It looks like I have to remove the top dash to get to those speakers. I don't know where to start removing this thing from. Also there is the section where the passenger airbags sits htat I don't want to mess with. Any suggestions or is there another way of getting to these speakers. Thanks

Default RE: Replacing 3.5" speakers on dashboard

Yeah thats a whole piece on its own, and it will come up! Your best bet is to start at the sides by the doors and work your way in with a trim tool, or a wide putty bar(1-2 inch wide) and pop the clips off. Good luck getting to the speakers once that is off!
