[:@] Hello All,
I have been having some trouble with my Stratus, rough Idling, going through more gas then I think it should, the other day I had a transmission issue ( transmission felt like it slipped. So I took it to my mechanics which doesn't deal with transmissions so I took it to MR. Transmission who ever so nicely hooked it up to diagnostics for me, and told me the only error code is it's the EGR Valve, so I went a bought the repair manual for my car but when I look for the EGR valve in the book it shows me the CIRRUS motor. When I compare it to my car it looks like I have to remove my fuel injector to get at it, which doesn't seem like a good Idea to me. So I was wondering if any one knows exactly where the EGR Valve is on a 98 Stratus ES 2.4 L?

RE: EGR Valve 98 Stratus 2.4L
my understanding is that the cirrus, stratus, breeze are all the same car. as long as you're looking at the right motor trim (ie: 2.5l v6, 2.4l 4cyl, 2.0 4cyl) they're all the same.

I replaced My EGR valve on my 99 2.4 it is bolted to the block. you have to remove the airbox(the whole thing). you will see it sticking up, with a tube running off it.
