engine rotates but does not start

Ok, my car died at a light my wife turned it back on and put it in drive dead again then wouldnt start. i changed spark plugs and wires and it started back up. she drove it to the gas station and turned it off, when she tried to start it back up nothing. i check and theres no spark going through the spark plugs. i replace plugs and wires again, coil and nothing. i check wiring from battery to coil and good voltage when cranked. could this be a cam or crankshaft sensor and how do i test those when they dont give specs on mitchell or alldata? any help would be greatly appreciated.
