Default 05 2.4L sensor on stock intake

how do I get the sensor out of the stock box and into the aftermarket intake? I can take the piece off the box and seperate it from the intake tube.. however if the sensor is not in the tube or in direct contact with the tube the car shuts off within 3 seconds of being cranked.. do I need tounclip the little plate off the topto get to the sensor or is there something specific I have to do? I really can't see me taking my car to a shop to get an intake put on that would be embarrassing, humiliating if you will! And the hole for the sensor on the aftermarket intake is about 8 inches further away.. I know that I can get a sensor adaptor but not sure how to put the rectangular plug into a circular hole... someoneplease helpeducate me, thank you!

You'll definately want a MAS adapter for your air intake. Didn't it come with one? Might want to ask the people that you got it from.. The MAS tells your car how much air it's getting, and without it, it has to guess, and, you don't want it doing that. If your intake was made for your car, it should've come with one.. Put your stock back on, and track down that adapter d:

I took the one I had bought back and found oneon e-bay that comes with the maf adapter.. should have it by the 10th, am looking forward to getting it on.. is a k&n filter really worth the money over the whatever filter will come with the intake? I understand it comes with a million mile warranty but... does it really make more horsepower.. or is it mainly the intake.. ? what is the deal with the 70+hp chips I see on ebay for the stratus.. I believe its bs but am curious nonetheless.. I mean yeah who wouldnt be... anyone ever gotten one do they help or is it bs?
