Hey All. I'm new to the board, but not new to working on cars. So here is my delima... After searching the board, I've noticed that many other 96 strati are plagued with the same issues that I'm having. Now I feel this may be the last straw. Did an oil change this evening and noticed that my A/C, Alt. belt broke. Ok, so I replaced it no biggie right? Start it up and lo and behold the A/C combressor pulley has seized. That's 300 I don't want to spend and don't have the proper equipment to do the change without venting the nasty **** to the atmosphere. I'm thinking about just taking the guide pulley out and running a belt from the crank pulley to the alternator and calling it a day. This thing has been attacked by the rust moths and is starting to fall apart anyway. If anyone has done this, can you tell me what the belt size/number would be so I don't have to play the guessing game with the local auto retailer?
