My girlfriend has a 2004 Dodge Stratus Coupe and she had grazed a deer on the road and the headlight was damaged. I have ordered a new one and was wondering what the difficulty is on replacing the headlight on these cars. For example, where are the brackets/bolts located and are there any other things I need to do to remove it. Do I need to take the front bumper off or anything of that sort to access any bolts? Pics and descriptions to do this job would make life a lot easier for me when the time comes.
Its easy. Unplug the bulb harnesses (2), unscrew the three 10mm bolts holding the headlamp and work it out. You might have to work on the lip on the bottom.
I have a '03 Stratus coupe. I removed the bulbs, remove screws holding the lens, took out 2 screws on the bumper & side panel to loosen area & still can't remove the lens.
if its the same as a sedan you have to push the bumper cover down a little (maybe 1/8 to 1/4 inch)to get the light to come out(the bottom of light housing sits behind bumper cover)
