I am changing the timing belt on my 2000 stratus, 2.4 (1B) type engine. I have the crank balancer about 3/4 off the shaft. The problem is it is hitting the wheel well inside fender, and will not come completely off. Is this where I need to drop the right side engine mount and allow the engine to tilt downward slightly? Or is there another way to get this off.

Kind of late.....but thats exactly what you need to do. I am changing my timing belt and I dropped the right side of the motor and got a puller from the parts store as a loaner.
