Default Little black box????

I have a little black bos attacht to the windshield behind my mirror??? anyone know what it is??? thanks Rick

its a rain sensor- it has an infrared red light aimed at the windshield,when it starts raining,in sense's it and turns on

Its part of the Compass/Temp. Its a sensor. We don't have rain sensors.

really? I thought that it was a part of the auto dimming mirror...

my stock rear view mirror doesnt work any more and i was going to remove all of that crap in place of a normal, manual mirror...if i remove that, is my comass/thermometer not going to work properly?

Now that you mention it, Im not sure. Ill scan through the service manual and look for the electrical diagram. I totally forgot about the auto dimming mirror.

I think the mirror is self contained... only the wires going to it... my vote the compass/temp
