Arrow New member - 02 Strat R/T

Hey, just joined this forum and thought I would introduce myself.

I'm Neil, 20 yrs old with a black 02 Stratus R/T (anybody think the paint is ****??) bought it almost a year ago...Love the car to death though, it's my baby It's lowered (previous owner) but I like it...uhm so instead of writing about I figure it'd just be easier to post pics

After her bath

After her wax that's just a reflection on the side, not a dent

Screen in there, wires in the center console have a switch panel now..looks much better :P

Also have 2 12in. Kicker Comps in the trunk and green accent lighting...That's about it!!!

Looks good! Any plans for it?

Its mainly a problem with the black paint. "Cancer" its referred as. It happened on all the 00-05 Eclipse and 01-05 Stratus Coupes. No other color has issues like the black.

Uhm, I plan on doing FULL exhaust system, tint, and some body paint this summer to fix the bad spots.. What is your opinion on the superchips? worth it?
Is that your ride in your sig? That's a badass car, I like it

EDIT - Forgot to add that I already have a CAI on it, for what its worth :P

I just got 35% tint all around, and I love it. On the black car it would looks great. You should also look into doing your headlights black.

Don't waste the money on computer chips, the ECU likes to learn its way around them. The V6 with exhaust sounds great. You won't see too much increase in HP, but an aggressive sound.

Yeah, thats my car in my sig, thanks I have a thread in the members rides section, it has come quite a way.

my 02 rt with custom exhaust..

like pearl said, the black cars are known to get the chrysler leprosy....but ive some a couple that were well cared for, and havent had the issues. i think that its technically a clear coat problem, not the paint itself..but im not sure.

these engines are NOT friendly with the bottle. I recall reading quite a few stories about guys running light shots on the stock engine, and even with a great tune, they are burning up the engine...i think that pearl can elaborate on that..

We ran em today and I was only a minor car length behind..he had me off the line for sure but the strat was gaining on him thru the high rpm's suprisingly...I gotta work on the launch w/o breakin the tires loose. I think another 25hp and itd be a damn close race..You think a headers back exhaust would give me bout 15?

Edit- it's a '99 GTP..Not the new ones, not sure if it makes a big dif or not.
