Default Crankshaft and Camshaft relative positions

Well, now our own conclusions.
The Stratus also works with 1 tooth displaced on the timing belt.
With less performarce, but not so bad that will notice you. (great!!)
=
This means that there are several Stratus with the same problem, including yours !! (lol)
(by mistake to change the timing belt)
=
We are not mechanics, but we are specialize in industrial machines and therefore able to analyze an simple engine like this.
The signal from the CamSensor (square), and the train of pulses from CranckSensor when compared in 2 ch. osciloscope
shows clearly the lack of synchronism.

The signal from the CamSensor (square), and the train of pulses from CranckSensor when compared shows clearly the time of synchronism.
Money for nothing.

Not quite sure why you, Luisitto, would message me directly. I am a PC Tech, and only a mechanic by necessity. I do like to learn all details, and will comment on what I know via reading, or from experience. But here is what you sent me, so that others reading the FORUM may benefit from your research and better understand their own Stratus's.

Im sorry but our discovery in my opinion, is one of the most important of site.
We are calling on all local mechanics to recognize the obvious, as many problems because of the beloved stratus.
We already used this vehicle for 5 years the way it is.
Thanks and sorry for bad English.
