Used the car just last evening, woke up this morning for work and the Stratus would not turn over completely, just churns.
> Battery - FINE, voltage was at 12
> Lights Exterior and Interior - FINE
> Power Locks and Windows - FINE
> Wipers - FINE
> FUSES - FINE
> NO LEAKS
.......When I try to start it, it just doesn't turn over completely to start the engine. ANY help would be much appreciated.

To access codes with out special tools turn ignition switch from off to on [do not crank]
3 times and leave in the on position the check engine warning lamp will flash out 2 did
git codes.
Normally starting with code 12 and 55[end of report] with the
malfunction code[s] in between.
Do not disconnect the battery as code data will be lost.
If no codes are present suspect a failing fuel pump.
If you have codes besides the 12 and 55 list them on this site and someone will tell you what they mean

It could mean any or all of those items. I would still lean heavily towards the fuel pump not kicking on, or failed entirely. If you have an immobilizer from an alarm, it may have disabled the fuel pump.

Sorry for bumping/hijacking this thread, but I'm having this exact problem on my '96 SE. Ran last night, won't finish turning over today. Mucked around with it a bit, and I don't seem to be getting any voltage at the fuel pump. All of my fuses pass a visual inspection, and the ASD relay is reading about 70 ohms. Thoughts?

To the OP: did you get this problem fixed?
Likely won't hear back from the OP. Please get some codes for us (either with the key dance (described above), or from a scan tool. It would also be good if we knew what engine your '96 has in it. 2.0, 2.4, 2.5? Mileage would be good to know. Please fill out your profile so we can better help you.
