04' stratus 0741 torque converter

i am having the code for the torque converter being broke. Has anyone had this code show up and there be other effects. Tom i will prob be dropping the transmission. Does anybody think it might just be the solenoid pack. It has been jerkling when shifting from 1st to second when driving slow but at fast speeds it just glides. same as 2nd to 3rd gear. Also before all this was happening i would come to a stop and the car would die or jerk real hard til i got to stop so we turned the idle up to help with this problem. please help. also the car is for sale asking 8000 it has 83000 miles. and is in great condition minus the tranny problem. any question or answers please help
