Heat problems

Hey everyone i'm new to the site but i got a 01 stratus r/t and i got a problem with the heat...When I start the car and let it run i dont car if i let it run for two hours just sitting there the car will do nothing but blow out cold air but as soon as i start driving the heat works perfectly fine...can anyone give me some suggestions on what it would be?

I would replace the T-stat first, because it maybe stuck open or broken. Ck for codes if you can, you may have a code for engine stays cold too long. Since you said you have the 01 R/T car, Are running the 3.0L Mits motor or 2.4/2.7 chrysler motor?
