Default starts, but wants to die when cold

I have a 2004 dodge stratus 4 cyl. When i start it in the morning, it wants to die on me. It doesn't cut out completely, and it only does it for a second. I found that if i turn the heater fan on high,or when i press the rear window defrost button it will do it again. It will only do it when cold. I've spent about an hour searching this board for someone with the same problem, but couldn't find anything. You guys sound like you know what your talking about. Any suggestions?

do you have any aftermarket work done to it? i had a similar issue when i had a bad spark plug. the reason that when you turn somethnig on is that it adds more load to the engine.

when mine started doing this, it was because of a post-MAFS leak in my aftermarket Cold air intake. after that, it was still doing it a bit, and it turned out to be a bad plug. mine got to the point where it WAS stalling.
