Default 2005 Stratus - Codes P0016 and P0340

My check engine light came on and then a few seconds later the car stopped running. The computer gave me the P0016 and P0340 codes. Is it possible that the crank and camshaft sensors malfunctioned at the same time, or do I have a problem with the timing belt/gear? Any advice is appreciated.

I have the same issue on my 2003 Dodge Stratus. Any ideas?

I realize this thread is a bit old, but did the P0016 + P0340 issue ever get resolved? I have the same codes and symptoms on my 2006 Stratus. Engine light, car died. Changed the easy to do camshaft position sensor but no luck. Now, on to the more difficult crankshaft sensor and the "I really don't want to do this" timing belt. But I'll have a good look at the wiring and connections first.
