Default Radio/CD issue

I have a 2001 Stratus and recently I've started having trouble with the radio/cd player. The display lights all work fine, but when I push on the power knob, the lights on the unit start blinking. Is this an electrical problem with the car or a radio problem? Nothing else on the car seems to be affected.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Well, it first started out as my stereo cutting out when I tried to adjust the volume. Lights on the display, equalizer, etc. were still on, channel presets would change when selected, but no sound. Then a few weeks later I pushed the On-Volume button to turn the stereo on and the clock/station display and equalizer lights would blink on and off. Stops when I turn off the stereo, but then the clock resets to 12:00.

Is it a poltergeist? LOL

i dont suppose that youre still under your B2B warranty?

it sounds like the power swtich on the radio is going bad, but with the 12:00 thing it sounds like its losing power, but losing power would mean youd lose your presets...

it sounds like your radio is just petering out...[:@]

Thanks. I appreciate the info. I'll get it checked out and maybe upgrade the stereo if it is truly dying on me.
