i have a 2000 stratus 2.5 and im having problems with idle also? I replaced my iac and the tps. i put new plugs in it and cap and button it also but it still wants to stall when im coming to a stop. My car runs great on highway and in town as long as i dont stop. I might add that if i tap guess a lil before it goes to below 1000 rpms that it wont stall. I have noticed rough idle also which comes and go but the stalling is not going away.. I also replaced crank sensor. Im very lost here and cant afford to keep guessing what the problem is.. Can anybody help me here????

 

Trouble codes?

 

Check, Engine Coolant temp sensor. When it is not reading correctly, the Computer may flood the engine with fuel and stall the car. If you have a Generic Scanner, check the temp reading when it stalls.
Another thing is a Stuck EGR valve. remove EGR tube and Block off the Hole on the intake manifold with Duct Tape, see if it helps.
Also Check PCV valve, Pinch off the PCV valve Hose, see if it does anything.

I assume u cleaned Throttle body when u replaced IAC motor?

 

Thanks. I was baffled here because it wouldnt give out a trouble code nor did check engine light come on ever.. i actually figured it out by changing coolant temp sensor and egr transducer(solenoid) and it cured my problem.. Thanks for the reply back
