why solid motor mounts?

some people dont seem to believe that having solid motor mounts in a coupe helps put more power to the ground...here is some proof...in the first picture, you can see how much water is on the track, same tires, same pressure, everything....the only thing that changed was the solid motor mounts... this was about as good as it got..it was more of a group of wheel hops than a burnout... in this picture, it has actually pulled out of the water a bit, and its smoking nice and hard...although it has also caused some occassional wheel spin when i launch.

The theory behind solid mounts is really simple. The firmer the mount the less the parasitic loss of power. think of it like a weight being pulled on a string with a softer spring with some give it takes more effort to pulls the weight, now the same weight on a stiffer spring the less effort needed to move the weight. the force to move the weight is the same, but with less loss of power with the stiffer spring the easier it will move.
