Default 2004 Stratus SXT sub-amp install questions.

Hi everyone:

I just purchased a V6 2004 Dodge Intrepid sedan to replace my recently totaled Alero. I am already pleased with the vehicle, and am planning on installing my Rockford Amp+sub system with the stock head unit. I was wondering the following:

a) Could anyone help summarize the major steps to take out the factory head unit? I'd rather not invest in the Crutchfield Mastersheet instructions.

b) Which wire for the factory stereo is best to tap into for the amplifier's remote turn on lead? (Color, etc.)

c) I plan on just running the power wire under the hood like I've done for an Intrepid instead of poking a hole through the firewall, though many might view it as unprofessional. It seems relatively difficult to go through the firewall of the Stratus.

Thanks a lot for your help.

-Matt
