2.5L head removal 2000 v6 autostick
Parting out my stratus. I give up. Fuel pump wouldnt come on after 6 months in the barn.
Ready to take the heads off but I can't make out the head bolt type. Too much gunk. What will I need for the head bolts?
Also, I want to separate the cam sprocket from the camshaft. What's the best way to do that? On the car or off the car? Timing belt is still in place at this time.

Liquid wrench rules
I did some research. A controlled test was done to compare wd40 PB Liquid wrench and home solution.
4 bolts were torqued to 540ftpounds. Then they were soaked.
No Oil used .................................. 516 pounds
WD-40 ................................... ...... 238 pounds
PB Blaster ................................... .. 214 pounds
Liquid Wrench ................................127 pounds
Kano Kroil ................................... .. 106 pounds
50% ATF - 50% Acetone mix............53 pounds
Quite impressive. A little trick I learned of is to apply lapping compound inside the bolt head to prevent slippage. I did not have to do it. A few nights of Liquid wrench did the trick.
Working on the tranny removal now. Any problems with removing autostick? things to look out for?
