99 Dodge Stratus - new battery - now quit
I have a 99 Dodge Stratus with a 2.0 engine , I had to jump start it yesterday cause of a dead battery , drove it about 20 miles and the batt light came on ; tested the battery and it showed bad so I put a new one in, it started great so took it for a drive and it ran good , then the inside dash lights got bright and it quit ; no fuel pump buzzing , lights all work turns over but no start , now where the mileage numbers show it says = no bus = can someone tell me what happened ? Thanks

no bus is a communication problem between modules and computer could be wiring ,bad cam or crank sensor ,dash cluster or computer, i would first check the battery connections again ,especially the ground to frame are known for going bad or getting corroded ,check connection where it goes into power distribution center (fuse box under hood ),check fuses again just to make sure none blew again, you could try unhooking battery for a little bit and rehooking see if anything changes, try switching out ASD relay under hood with another relay to start ,if none of those help have to start checking sensors, wiring ,computer etc

The car ran great after I put the battery in , the next morning I started it up and after a few miles it started missing , then a couple more miles and the lights got brighter and then it quit , checked all connections etc , asd fuse was blown ,the electric fuel pump doesn't run , if you jump the connctions it does ; I replaced the asd fuse and fuel pump relay ; if it is the ecm , how do I kno it wont just blow it again ? This is really aggravating
