Default V6/5speed combo reliability

I know its not a Stratus, but my ex-gf is considering a V6 5 speed Sebring. Its a 02 with 56k miles, white w/2 tone black/grey interior and they want 10k for it.

I know its mostly a Mitsu drivetrain, but is there anything out of the ordinary to look out for on these cars? I figured that since it is a manual that removes the crappy Chrysler fwd automatic from the equation, but I've never owned a Chrysler so I dont know the quirks. Thanks guys appreciate any advice.

its literally IS a mitsubishi, for instance, my RT is a eclipse GT with a different body and wheel.. although i didnt think that the sebrings came in manual....but anyway...

aside from clutches, i havent heard of any real issues...and there are some guys with stock trannies (with built clutches and half shafts) running 300+ whp, and ive seen one that was over 400 whp

I dont think the Sebrings come in a manual. The only one's I've ever seen are AutoSticks.

Otherwise it's a decent car. I've got a Stratus that's basically the same color/interior as that Sebring. Pearl white with two tone grey/black interior.

I paid 14k for mine. But it only had 42K on it and was certified pre-owned with GAP insurance and a warranty. Also came with the Etch security done to it.

Good luck with the car!

That's a Convertible model which has a different platform, different engine, etc. than the coupe model. However, the coupe does have a manual. Look it up.

almost every mitsu drive train with the exception of the expo (80's) & 3rd generation mirage (late 80's early 90's) drive train are very reliable. Take it from a mitsubishi man that they are well built and can take alot of punishment
