2002 2.4 DOHC Sedan - Left Side Lower Control Arm
I am in the process of changing the lower control arms on both sides. The right (Passenger) side I was able to get off with little strain, and replace the control arm within a couple hours. After trying to tackle the left side, I was able to loosen all the bolts, but once I got to the horizontal bolt towards the front I found that it was too long to pull out of the control arm, and was being stopped by this oil pan or whatever this is. http://picpaste.com/7ef6b91332c27b48...faa1eb6275.jpg
I am not sure where to go from this point. This is the last thing that is stopping this control arm from being removed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

According to the Haynes manual, there isnt anything specific for that tight area. There is a picture of that exact side, but no special instructions. Sure would be nice if the 2gss.org website was still up, im sure they would have it. I surprised there isnt a service manual readily available like there is for the Coupe.

I believe I have found the FSM... Download ASAP if so, never know if it will be deleted. Section 2, page 15 is Suspension. https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BxnH...pCcW9Jdms/edit
