Unhappy 2002 Dodge Stratus 2.7L SFI DOHC 6cyl

The bolt on the lower control arm attached to the front suspension crossmember is to long and will not come out because the transsmission is in the front of the bolt.

Do I have to drop the crossmember to allow the bolt to exit and if so is there a procedure for that?

On the transmission there are 2 stubs protruding above the pan from the tansmission, one of them is blocking the bolt from coming out, are they hollow or solid?
