Default Brakes

I own a 2002 dodge strates. Whenever I brake my sterring wheel shakes and there is a thumping under my foot which it sounds like it's coming from my left rear tire. Whenever I put the car in park and turn it off I notice when I get out there is smoke coming from my tire. Does anybody know what this could be?

If youre mechanically inclined, the first thing I would do is pull the wheel off and inspect. If youre not mechanically inclined, I would get it looked at immediately.

If there is something wrong it will be obvious.

Agreed with the above. Remove the suspect when to inspect or take it somewhere for someone who knows how to inspect it for you. Sounds like a stuck caliper and warped rotor/drum whichever you have back there.
