Default 1998 Stratus (4/c automatic) ticking sound

I have a 98 stratus (52,000 miles) i can hear a ticking noise usually a lower speeds. It doesn't seem to be the sounds lifters make. The sounds is at it's loudest right when the transmission shifts into second gear at times it's sounds more like a knocking noise. I also hear it when I slow down to take a turn, probably going about 5 mph and the card downshift to a lower gear.

It's definitely coming from the engine. It doesn't make the sound while idling. I'm pretty confident it's not wheel related. Could it be transmission related by any chance.

Does it speed up and slow down with engine speed?
