Default Purple Ice

I'm all about trying to increase the performance/efficiency, so when I see things that talk to me in the information about the product, I get real interested/eager to see and know if it works or not....

I was wondering, by looking at this product, does anyone else have experience with this?

How about K&N oil filter v. Fram or other oil filter?

I have read people talk on here about running synthetic and they noticed a major difference, or more so, a noticeable difference off the bat, is this the trend?

How about K&N air filter v. others?

The air intake on this 2005 2.7L looks like it is a CAI, however, I am not a pro at this, I haven't really induldged myself at taking it apart and looking yet. What is up with the roller coaster intake on top the engine, that looks cool. I think that is the part that had me at hello. LMAO

Everything so far I love about this 2005, the performance is great, however, finding performance parts is hard on here, they're all for the 2.4 or other engine set up.

What about muffler set up?

I want to increase performance, while increase efficiency so that's my objective, better MPG is good with me, if I am able to increase performance at the same time. If not, I'd rather take more MPG while keeping same performance then increasing performance and loosing MPG, unless marginal and not a trace of difference.

Thanks in advance. I'd rather try my luck here with my questions and such before attempting else where, thanks!

Oh, and my objective too, is to have this done hopefully within a month, to get ready for a trip down to the Lake of the Ozarks in June, and a trip up to Iowa to see family. Thanks!

P.S. I guess I should ask about spark plugs / spark plug wires, all that jazz....it's at 19.8k miles and I am thinking of a tune up on it, not sure when a good time frame is, but since a program car, getting rid of those rental woes is my priority, which I really don't see none, however, making better now while low mileage sounds good to me!

Oh, and funny thing too, which I don't understand, manual says, (canda only) for daytime running lights, yet mine run during the day too. It was a rental car up in Omaha.

Oh, and my theft light in the dash, don't come on when I use the remote to lock the car and it honks and all, yet there is no flashing red light

heh, ok, sorry for those things, things I keep thinking about.
