Default 01 driver side mirror replacement

Basically, how do you do it? My mirror was ripped out of the housing, breaking everything inside. So I found the housing and mirror for $85 and I'm trying to find out how to replace it. How is it attached to the side of the car? Am I going to have to take off the door panel to disconnect the power? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

um, i'll make short and sweet.

my neon, you have to take the door panel off, disconnect any electrical parts, then if the molding in that corner is attached to the panel, you'll have access, or if it's seperately attached to the door, then that too...? I could be wrong, I haven't done this in like a year or two, and I don't have the car on my lap, so I am not sure.

you have to unscrew the housing from behind what I call that little corner of molding, and then it's back the reverse for reinstalling....should be simple enough, just pulling the snap on plastic off is the PITA** and if they're good enough to reinstall, you're good to go, taco bell...oh wait, sorry wrong place....haha.

hope it works.
