Default idle roughness and CHECK ENGINE

OK, so I keep getting the P0415 code for "Large Leak in the Evap System" how do I fix this. I keep erasing the code to stop the annoying light, but the problem is obviously bad enough that the PCM keeps throwing it up. I have replaced the gas cap, but now the car idles rough and the needle dances around under 1000rpm's.

Guys, you got any ideas whats up?

"large leak" isnt a gas cap...its something in the actual fuel evap system, but i cannot recall what it is...i seem to recall from my dealership days that there is some component in the system that goes bad, and i think that its expensive. maybe B_52 has some insight.

Eeeeks,
Im not very knowleged on Evap systems. I scouted the shop manual, and they referance just about every code BUT P0415! (chart goes from P0403 straight to P0421! (But that my 02 manual)
What year and size of motor? Sedan or Coupe?

A Car-X printed out a TSB report for me that said the PCM has a idle malfunction that needs reprogramming at the dealer. Could this be the idle issue? It costs $70 to get it reprogrammed. But as for the leak, ewww is right!!!
