Default rear drum brakes

ok so me and a guy i know that knows how to do rear drum brakes were replacingf them and we bought all new part s put it togethter and now we can't get the dums over the shoes... any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

The same thing happen to me I put the old shoes back on for now. I thought that the shoes were made wrong.

turn the little spiked wheel looking thing. this is the auto adjuster. as the shoes wear this will slowly push the shoes closer to the drums, might be rusted up so get some cleaner. i like to totaly remove 'em clean and regrease (high temp grease)..good luck.

ok so after 7 hours of trying to get the new shoes to fit we figured out that the metal bracket that the pads sit on are to big for my car they are longer the the ones that are in there..... long story short i had to bring my car to a dodge dealership give them my vin and they found ones that they say are "correct" so we will find out tomorrow cause they had to order them $55.00 for the damn things ugh
